The CDHF Certified Symbol of Distinction provides reassurance that products bearing the symbol have been carefully reviewed and meet CDHF’s standards for safety and effectiveness.
CDHF Certified is an objective program supported by research and not influenced by brands or manufacturers. Products that earn the CDHF Certified Symbol of Distinction have been reviewed for a potential health claim as it relates to digestive health.
Before a product can display the CDHF Certified Symbol of Distinction, the Canadian Digestive Health Foundation (CDHF) carefully reviews the science behind it.
CDHF collaborates with healthcare professionals to evaluate independent research on the product’s specific ingredient and its claimed health benefit. The evidence must come from reputable scientific or regulatory sources and consistently support the claims made about the ingredient, the product, its packaging, and advertising. Only products that meet CDHF’s rigorous standards through this review process are permitted to display the CDHF Certified Symbol of Distinction on their packaging and promotional materials.
