OAKVILLE, ON –- March 25, 2019 –- the Canadian Digestive Health Foundation (CDHF.ca) announced today the launch of a new brand identity to reflect the not-for-profit’s evolution of not only being the go-to resource for information on digestive disorders, but also becoming the trusted source for those looking for diet and nutrition resources.

More than ever, consumers are taking charge of their lives – taking time to research, experience and try new rituals / products to achieve better digestive and overall wellness.

As more brands enter this space, consumers are presented with a multitude of conflicting messages about how to best manage their health, and there exists a need for a credible, authoritative trusted voice to guide consumers through their self-discovery and journey – a partner that can make sense of all this information and provide a comprehensive digestive health plan that encompasses all facets – and that is CDHF.

The CDHF logo is a visual representation for who we are and what we stand for. It is the single most important element in the identity.

“Although the logo had served us well over the years, it was not representing everything we do.” Jeff Suggitt, CEO of CDHF explains. “We wanted to ensure that it was going to be simple enough for our logo to be seen on packages with our CDHF Certified program, and be “customer focused” with an emphasis on self-care and proactive digestive health management. However, never straying away from being that “one-stop shop” for information on digestive disorders.

The new logo represents just that. The beams of light coming from the centre or core in the letter D speaks to digestive health being the core of all things health. With the help of The Hatchery, a Toronto-based marketing agency, we have evolved from the old brown and red colours to vibrant pinks and purples evoking optimism and empowerment into the brand.

This new brand identity is an exciting change for CDHF, and what we can do with it. The new visual identity, guiding actions and rally cry, in conjunction with the our purpose and values, emphasizes CDHF’s mission to reduce suffering and improve quality of life for all Canadians.
