href=\"https:\/\/cdhf.ca\/en\/digestive-conditions\/pancreatic-cancer\/\">Pancreatic cancer<\/a> covers a number of different cancers that that arise from different parts of the pancreas.\u00a0 However, the most common type of pancreatic cancer is what is called Pancreatic Ductal Adencarcinoma (PDAC), which accounts for about 90 per cent of all pancreatic cancers.\u00a0 There are other types of pancreatic cancer arising from other cell types. \u00a0Tumours such as acinar carcinoma, pancreaticoblastoma and neuroendocrine tumours or NETS that produce hormones such as gastrin. \u00a0It\u2019s important to know what type of pancreatic cancer someone has so that their oncologist and their other health care providers can decide how best to treat the cancer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p
