Constipation can happen when your stool moves too slowly through your colon, causing it to become dry and hard. When you have constipation, you want relief.

Laxatives generally relieve constipation by increasing the frequency of bowel movements.

In this animation you will learn about the mode of actions for three different types of laxatives: Osmotic, Stimulant and Bulk-Forming.
